Resurrecting Cobargo
In December 2019 the historic vilalge of Cobargo in the Bega Valley Shire of New South Wales was devastated by bushfire. The loss to the town was immeasurable; lives were lost, and many of Cobargo’s historic buildings were razed to the ground.
Having an affection for the village and its inhabitants, and being captivated by Cobargo’s oldworld charm, over the years I had spent many hours photographing its character-filled buildings and pastoral scenes.
In Resurrecting Cobargo, my wish is to use those images to ensure its lost buildings live on past the destruction.
