Tonight we are delighted to welcome local photographer Jenny Evans, who will present and discuss her work in news and sports photography. Jenny is the winner of the 2018 Walkley Award for News Photography and Jenny and her husband work as freelance photographers for Getty Images. Jenny commenced her career in photography later in life and was inspired after picking up a photo book and becoming inspired. To quote Jenny “I remember the feeling of picking up the camera and just never being able to put it down. I had no idea what I was doing, just walked around taking photos. A lot of them didn’t work, but it woke something up in me. I still haven’t been able to put the camera down”. It should be a fascinating night and we look forward to hearing Jenny’s insights.
