Evaluation Night Thursday 17th April 2025

Our third evaluation night for the year, at our last meeting, again saw a large number of entrants and submissions. The recent influx of talented new members  and the general increase in quality photographs resulted in an exhibition of extremely good photographs with most interesting and varied subject matter. We were treated to s showing of photographs that are not simple documents but creative art photography. Congratulations to everybody who submitted their work.

Thank you Michael for leading the discussion so expertly and thank you to those who once again actively participated in our group discussion. I am sure the comments and suggestions proffered will no doubt be of great  assistance to all members. We can all learn from being part of good photographic evaluation, both for comments on our own submissions and comments provided for other members work.

If any member would like to act as moderator for future evaluation nights, please let me know. For our next meeting we will be having a presentation on the use of flash. This will explore the various types of flash units available, with suggestions on how to use flash in ways that can make our photographs more creative and more artistic.
