Challenge night, Thursday 22nd September

Last night we held our third challenge night of the year, continuing the theme of “The photographic eye”.  This time the challenge was based around the concept of “Viewpoint”, where our members were invited to create a series of images exploring the use of different viewpoints.  Whilst some members attempted to use the theme to explore a single subject, others went above and beyond to explore some different aspects of viewpoint, that might be more correctly called “point of view” – a subtle difference but one which emphasises the “way” we see things rather than concentrating on the different ways to view a subject.  Either way, it was an interesting night that also saw us having a discussion around the ways to create a photo book, as some members are working towards creating a photo book for themselves.
