Evaluation Night 30th May

Last meeting was another of our Evaluation Nights for this year. The night set somewhat of a precedent in that there were more prints than projected photographs displayed. There was a wide range of subject matter and styles displayed, with many creative and thoughtful photographs. There were quite a few photographs that showed creative and novel techniques. We continue to see our members trying out imaginative techniques and processes.

Attendance was again good, with the number of new members we are currently attracting.

There was good participation in our group discussion, with the opportunity for members explain their motivations for making the photographs they displayed. The discussions led by myself for the prints and Ian Cambourne, who stood in without notice,  for the projections. The positive suggestions that arose will be of great  assistance to those who submitted their photographic endeavours.

A big thank you to all members who submitted photographs and to those who helped make the photographic discussion most worthwhile. Without these inputs our evaluation night would not provide the value they do.

For our next meeting we will be exploring some advanced capture techniques..
