Evaluation Night Thursday 6th March

Our second evaluation night for the year, at our last meeting, set new records for the number of entrants and the number of submissions. Importantly, the photographs exhibited once again showed a high degree of quality and an eclectic mix of most interesting subject matter. Perhaps our program of essential skills is showing the way to continual growth in our skill and knowledge and the ability to produce meaningful photographs, that that have strong messages. Photographs that are not simple documents but creative art photography. Congratulations to everybody who submitted their work Congratulations also to those who once again actively participated in our group discussion and assisted by offering helpful suggestions to the members who exhibited. Such positive suggestions are no doubt be of great assistance to all members. We can all learn from being part of good photographic evaluation.

For our next meeting we will be having a presentation on the topic of Advanced Colour. This will explore the theory of colour and the tools we have available in editing software to suggest how we can make our photographs more creative and more artistic images.
